ABOUT KATE

Kate has several decades of experience with riding and horse care. She spent the first half of her life in the UK, where she benefited from a range of high quality instructors who helped shape her knowledge and style. Kate’s family has always been equestrian focused and from a young age, she assisted with her parent’s livery business.

Having always had the scrappy, unschooled, ‘very affordable’ ponies and horses, Kate has developed a range of techniques to overcome challenges that arise from the green or less schooled horses. She understands that for many people, they need to find a way to ride the horse they have - teach the horse they have, to fit with the job they want it to do. It is not always possible to buy the exact equine partner we want, but we can train them to be adaptable in different disciplines. Kate will help you establish a solid foundation for any style of riding and can also overcome many behavioral challenges. Kate’s background includes eventing, dressage, showjumping, foxhunting, hunter pacing, trail riding and even a little driving.

However, her main focus is on keeping riding fun!
